DM Series Flat Linear Motor Module — custom width and travel

The Fanlin DM series flat linear motor modules are built on iron-core flat linear motor direct-drive technology, combined with a high-stiffness aluminum base and precision linear guides. With no ballscrews, belts or other intermediate drive stages, they deliver zero backlash and high efficiency. The iron-core structure offers significantly higher force density than ironless designs, while the magnet track can be modularly spliced to extend travel from a few hundred millimeters up to meter-level strokes. Paired with full closed-loop optical linear encoder feedback, positioning is stable and reliable for horizontal long-travel, high-speed reciprocation and heavy-load transfer applications.

Fanlin Tech specializes in precision motion control. The DM series is centered on iron-core flat linear motors: high force density balancing cost and energy efficiency, magnet tracks spliced to required travel, and multi-coil forcers combined for higher thrust. Travel, force, feedback and protection are all customizable for automation lines, dispensing, inspection and precision assembly.

Choose the DM iron-core design for high force, long travel and heavy loads; choose the DUM ironless U-channel series where ultra-low velocity ripple and zero cogging matter for lighter, precision-dominant tasks. Iron-core designs carry a normal attractive force, so follow the assembly instructions during installation.

Magnet tracks splice modularly, with standard travel up to 6000 mm; longer strokes and very high thrust combinations require an engineering review. Contact our team to confirm.

Share the moving mass, external payload, travel, maximum velocity, target acceleration, motion profile, cycle time, continuous operating time, mounting orientation, facility input power and control-bus requirements. The engineering team will use these inputs to size the forcer, drive, feedback, cooling, cabling and safety interfaces.

Share your travel, speed, payload and accuracy requirements; our engineers will recommend force configuration, feedback and protection options along with a custom proposal.
